Course Information

This unit is about assistive technology (AT). Why wait until now to address it? We thought it would be best to enable students to set a goal (Units 1-3 future career orientation) and explain accommodations as a way of reaching their goal (Units 4-6) before introducing AT. AT is just a tool for doing something (task oriented). AT is just one type of accommodation (using technology to adjust task demands). Students need to understand AT in this context.
